About San Diego Donut Run 2019
Join us for the second annual San Diego Donut Run! Not sure you want to run/walk in the 5K? Donut worry! You can sign up for our 1-mile Donut Dash and for those who can’t make it that day, you can still be part of the fun by registering as a virtual runner. We will also have a Kids’ Dash where the little ones make their way to their own finish line to receive their medal. When you register, you will automatically be assigned a page so you can share it with your network to help raise funds for GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego. We will be awarding amazing prizes for Best Costume, Most Team Spirit, and Most Funds Raised.
Every team that raises $321 by May 1st will get their child’s picture placed along the 5K Route

Why Participate?
GiGi’s Playhouse has made it to the West Coast! Opening in April 2018, GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego has had an amazing first year. With over 1,000 participant check-ins totaling over 2,000 hours GiGi’s Playhouse has found a home in San Diego and impacted so many already. We had a successful Donut Run and are excited to bring it back for its second year! We also have been able to start offering purposeful programs for every age group! We are overwhelmed with gratitude from the support of our community, generous donors, and all the GiGi’s Playhouses across the network. We are so excited to continue to change the way the world views Down syndrome in 2019 with your help!

Through free programs and through our Generation G Campaign for global acceptance, we EMPOWER families by maximizing opportunities for daily achievement and lasting acceptance. FAQ's
I have a small child. Can I race with a stroller?
Yes!!! In the spirit of family involvement, strollers are encouraged! We kindly ask participants with strollers to allow other racers to pass safely and stay single file on the course. Remember, all ages can participate!
Will I have to pay for parking?
No, there is free parking at Crown Point Park as well as street parking.
What if it rains on race day?
This event will happen rain or shine.
Are we allowed to run the 5k or Donut Dash without registering?
No. You must have a race day bib to participate in the run.
Can I bring pets to the run?
We know your pets are considered part of the family; however, we ask that you please leave them at home during the event. Due to the sensitive nature of the park, dogs and other domestic animals are not permitted within Crown Point Park during those hoursand are not allowed to be kept in vehicles at any given time. ADA Service animals are allowed.Thank you!
Will there be sufficient aid and medical assistance on the course?
We take the safety of our participants seriously. Water stations and support personnel will be available. Plus, a first aid kit will be stationed at the start/finish line. The official race staff is trained to manage any situation that may arise.
