Annual Giving Justice Campaign 2026 supporting Justice At Last
Annual Giving Justice Campaign 2026

YOU CAN HELP SURVIVORS MOVE FROM VICTIMIZATION TO INDEPENDENCE.

Trafficking doesn't end when exploitation does. Survivors face years of legal, housing, and identity barriers that keep them from ever truly moving forward. Throughout July — in recognition of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30th — you'll see exactly what those barriers look like, and what it means when someone like you helps tear them down.

Rachel's story is one powerful example of what's possible when a survivor is given the support, advocacy, and hope to reclaim her future.

RACHEL'S STORY

Rachel* never had a childhood. She was seven years old the first time a family member — someone who was supposed to protect her — chose to exploit her instead.

By the time Justice At Last met her, she was fourteen. She had no birth certificate. No proof, on paper, that she existed at all. She couldn’t enroll in school. She had no door to lock at night, no address to call home, and no last name that felt safe enough to say out loud.

The people who harmed her had taken everything — even her identity.

But here’s what they couldn’t take: the possibility that someone would show up for her.

You showed up. Because of supporters like you, Rachel got her birth certificate. She enrolled in school. She found a home — a real home, with a family who chose her. She got a legal name change that helped shield her from the people who once hunted her.

Seven years later, she walked across a graduation stage, cum laude, with a double major in social work and sociology.

Today, Rachel is building a career helping survivors just like herself.

She rewrote her story. You helped hand her the pen.

ABOUT JUSTICE AT LAST

Justice At Last provides free legal services to trafficked persons to help rebuild lives and achieve meaningful justice.

What does this mean in practice?

Our award-winning attorneys support survivors in over 12 critical areas, including Minor/Youth ProtectionCrime Victims’ Rights EnforcementPost-Conviction Relief, and Immigration Protection

Since 2015, we have served over 2,000 survivors and trained over 15,000 community stakeholders about the rights and forms of relief of victims of trafficking.

In 2025, we assessed and supported 279 survivors and provided 165 clients with legal representation in one or more legal matters.

Unfortunately, demand for our services continues to rise in 2026.

We are up to the challenge. But we can’t do it alone.

WHY DONATE TO JUSTICE AT LAST?

July 30th is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. On that day, the world acknowledges that trafficking exists.

Justice At Last is one of the few organizations that shows up on July 30th — and every day after.

Since 2015, we have held our annual peer-to-peer fundraising event on July 30th, because every day a survivor waits is another day they face barriers to housing, employment, identification, legal protection, and safety. We are working right now to remove those barriers.

Rachel's traffickers counted on no one showing up for her.

You can prove them wrong.

One person. One decision. One donation. It changes the direction of a survivor's life — Rachel's story proves it.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?

This campaign will raise $75,000 to continue providing representation, legal advocacy and supportive services that help survivors move toward stability, safety, and independence.

Every dollar short of our goal is a survivor's case we can't take on this year.

Your gift ensures we can say yes to the next Rachel.

Thank You for Your Support!

Because of your generosity, survivors like Rachel have the opportunity to rebuild their lives, reclaim their futures, and continue their journey toward justice.
