Participating in the National Grief Relief 5K Your Way gives children the healing resource of Comfort Zone Camp. You will provide a child with a community that understands their pain and teaches them how to cope in healthy ways. There has never been a more important time to help.
Comfort Zone empowers grieving children to fully realize their capacity to heal, grow, and lead more fulfilling lives.
Comfort Zone Camp serves children who have lost a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or friend. All programs are offered at no cost to families. Since 1999, CZC has helped 23,000+ children.
When a child suffers the death of a parent or sibling, it is one of the most of not the most traumatic experience of their life. For this underserved population, there are few programs that exist; with even less offering free services, limiting those from low-income backgrounds, or those experiencing unexpected expenses or reduced financial resources related to the death in the family.
Comfort Zone changes these outcomes providing the skills children need to manage their grief – and all of the challenges they may face as they grow – in healthy ways, both in our program and in their daily lives.
Through the generosity of our participants, donors and sponsors; the National Grief Relief 5K has raised over $$$$ to give grieving children the healing power of Comfort Zone Camp.
