TPF4Y's Mission

TPF4Y is on a mission to ensure Indiana’s underserved and underrepresented K-12 students have access to experiential learning opportunities that increase STEM knowledge and inspire STEM career exploration.

Indiana's Reputation for Robotics Excellence

Originally established in 2016 as a single grant aimed at removing financial barriers for Indiana elementary schools' robotics programs, TPF4Y's State Robotics Initiative has undergone a remarkable evolution. Over the course of the last 7 years, TPF4Y has awarded over 1,300 grants to schools across all 92 Indiana counties. This initiative has elevated Indiana to a prominent position as a national leader in robotics and STEM education and we are proud to foster such a vibrant and thriving community of elementary, middle, and high school robotics teams.

To accomodate and celebrate Indiana's success in robotics, TPF4Y annually orchestrates the largest state robotics championship in the United States, an unprecedented event held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Set for March 23, 2024, next year's championship promises to be another spectacular affair, featuring participation from over 300 elementary, middle, and high school teams that will showcase the pinnacle of robotics excellence from across the state. We expect the event to draw a crowd of more than 10,000 enthusiastic guests!

At the Indiana Robotics State Championship, teams will compete for their chance to qualify for the VEX World Championship (held in Dallas, TX in April). In 2023, Indiana sent 167 teams to Worlds, surpassing any other state in the U.S. and globally, in the number of teams invited to the global competition. Remarkably, 33 Indiana teams brought home awards from the World Championship!

Help Support Robotics Teams Going to the State and World Championship

Within just one month of qualifying at the State Championship, Indiana robotics teams face the challenge of not only securing the $1,800 World Championship registration fee but also actively fundraising for their travel and accommodations to compete on the global stage in Dallas, TX.

This Giving Tuesday, help us make dreams come true for Indiana teams who qualify for both the nation's largest robotics state championship and VEX Worlds! All donations will go directly towards making the March 2024 event a reality for our students as well as supporting the travel costs of those who qualify for Worlds.

Your generous donation today will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Indiana's bright young minds can sustain their robotics journey, from the state championship all the way to the world stage.
