Family Promise Virtual Hike for Hope 2021

Tips for Fundraising

Looking for some pointers for fundraising for your virtual Hike for Hope campaign? Check out a few of these tips! Remember, to be considered for top fundraising prizes, all funds need to be made or turned in by 5 PM on Saturday, May 1. However, donations will still be accepted after that time!

  1. Customize Your Fundraising Page
When you register for the Virtual Hike for Hope, you'll be prompted to finish setting up your fundraising page. The page is automatically generated for you, but it is up to you to decide what goes on it! Add a personal message to your page letting people know why raising money for Family Promise is important to you, set a fundraising goal, and post a picture of yourself and/or your team.

  2. Connect Your Social Media Accounts
When you connect your social media profiles to your account, you'll be able to easily share your fundraising page, goals, and message with friends and family online. If you didn't connect your accounts during registering for the Virtual Hike for Hope, you can do so now by going to your name in the top right corner of the page, and selecting "Edit Profile" under "Account". Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google Accounts can all be connected. And don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to stay up-to-date on the latest Family Promise news!

  3. Share With Family and Friends
Spread the word! Share your page and the fact that you are participating in the Virtual Hike for Hope with family and friends through social media, email, and even text links. Let them know why raising money for this cause is important to you. The more, the merrier!

  4. Thank Your Team Registrants and Donors
Be sure to let your supporters know how much you appreciate them! You are automatically notified when someone joins your team or makes a donation to your campaign via email, and when you opt in for text messages, you'll receive a notification on your phone as well. Acknowledging your donors is easy: simply send them an email, text, or a shoutout on social media. Not sure what to say? Use the pre-generated template we provide!
