About Paws In Motion Helping Paws 5K
A Community Event For Everyone!
Helping Paws is thrilled to host our Paws In Motion 5K event and fundraiser on May 5, 2024!
Whether you prefer to wag, walk, roll, or run, there will be both long and short courses to choose from. Bring your friends and family! You can even form teams in advance to raise money for Helping Paws. Join us for the celebration, take a tour of our new facility, meet our assistance dogs, and get your Paws In Motion!
Tour? We moved to a bigger location!
Helping Paws just relocated to a larger space to accommodate our growing community. Thanks to strategic reserve funds, we've renovated an existing building, expanding our training space by 3,000 square feet!
While we're still unpacking, classes are already underway. We're excited to announce that we'll be hosting a grand opening celebration in conjunction with our Paws In Motion 5K event.

Whether you wag, walk, run, or roll, you become a vital part of a community coming together to support life-changing assistance dogs (service dogs and facility dogs). There will be a lot of happy tails waggin'!
It's an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who also believe in the mutually beneficial relationship between humans and dogs. Our community is filled with all walks of life who want to leave a positive impact that reverberates far beyond the finish line.
Take a tour of our new training facility and meet volunteers and staff members!
What a great way to spend a Sunday morning: outside and moving the body. There will be food available and kids' games!

Assistance Dogs Change Lives!
Helping Paws is a Minnesota-based non-profit with more than 35 years of experience training and placing assistance dogs such as service dogs with individuals who have physical disabilities or veterans and first responders with PTSD, as well as facility dog partnerships with health care professionals. We are an accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.
Having an assistance dog empowers individuals with self-confidence, self-esteem, and a radiance that is wonderful to see. It means the gifts of dignity, independence, and peace of mind. Your donations and participate supports our mission!
