Q: How many people can I have on my team?
A: You can have however many people can safely fit in your vehicle up to 6 people. Your team cannot split up at any time during the race.
Q: What kind of tasks will I be required to do?
A: An example of a task could be to take a picture of at least 3 of your group members laying on a mattress in a mattress store. Tasks will be easy, fun, exciting, and maybe even informative! A few tasks will be required to complete in order to be eligible for prizes (these are sponsored tasks) and some will have bonus points.
Q: How long will the hunt last?
A: All teams will leave the parking lot at the same time. The hunt starts at 3 p.m. or as soon as possible after all announcements are made and instructions are given. Teams have until 6 p.m. to complete as many tasks as possible. Teams must be back in the parking lot by 6 p.m. Any teams not in the parking lot by 6 p.m. will be eliminated in the competition for prizes.
Q: How do I win the Scavenger Hunt?
A: The team with the most points at the end of the 3-hour hunt will be the winner. Each task has a point value. You can use those point values to strategize with your team members. The expectation is not to complete every task on the list but to accumulate the most points. Some tasks are required to be eligible for prizes. Prizes will be given to first and second place teams.
Q: How far will I have to drive to complete these tasks?
A: The hunt will predominantly be in Davenport and Bettendorf. Multiple tasks may be able to be completed in one area.
Q: Does everyone on my team have to take a picture with their phone?
A: Only one person should be responsible to take pictures and upload to the OneCause platform. We recommend that you designate one person on your team to be in charge of uploading the photos.
Q: Can I register others who are on my team?
A: Yes, but you have to do it at the time of your registration because you will not be able to go back and do it after you complete registration. If you are unsure of who will be on your team when you register, just register yourself only. When your teammates register, they can register by clicking the "JOIN A TEAM" button and type in your team's name.
