About Into the Cold
Into the Cold for Main Street Project is a DIY pledge and activity-based fundraising event taking place from March 1 to March 31, 2025. Main Street Project is raising funds to support the community through much-needed programs and services - programs that have a direct impact on Winnipeggers experiencing homelessness and other challenges. Your participation raises awareness about the critical services we provide to our community and inspires the people around you to support our cause with a donation!
We’re encouraging all Manitobans to get outside for some exercise and fresh air this winter. You can walk or run and help us raise funds while you’re at it. Participate individually, or start or join a team today. Friend groups, families, classrooms, or workplaces can register as a team.
Programs and services you will be supporting through Into the Cold
Emergency Shelter: A safe place of respite during tough times and extreme weather conditions
Food and Nutrition Services: Access to nutritious food for all, including prepared meals and a weekly food bank
Housing: Safe and stable permanent and transitional housing with wrap-around supports and care
Case Management: Tailored plans to help folks succeed in their goals
Withdrawal Management Services: A safe and stable place for folks to manage withdrawal from substance use
Van Outreach: Bringing resources and support to folks living unsheltered including those living in encampments
By participating, you will help Main Street Project continue to provide a safe space for Winnipeg's most marginalized residents.
