Schedule of Events:

Saturday, October 19, 2024

9:00 AM: Check-in (only Team Captains or Individual Walkers are required to check in at the Purple EFEPA tent) 

10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting 

~11:00 AM: Family Fun

  • Kid's activities like a balloon artist and face painter
  • Free breakfast refreshments
  • Free BBQ chicken lunch provided by our friends in the Amish Community

12:00 PM: Completion of Walk

The Walk to END EPILEPSY is a rain or shine event. Please plan accordingly. 

Rewards:

This year our walks will require a $10 registration fee for ALL attendees. For those planning on fundraising, raising $35 per person or more will include an annual Walk to END EPILEPSY t-shirt and waive the registration fee. This new structure allows us to better manage event costs effectively while offering our participants affordable options. 

Walker T-Shirt ($35+)

Raise $35 or more and receive an official Walk to END EPILEPSY T-shirt. You must be a registered participant to be eligible. One (1) T-shirt per participant. Sizes are NOT guaranteed.

Fundraising Incentives & Superlatives

Various awards and prizes will be announced and given out at the Walk to END EPILEPSY. Some examples may include, but are not limited to: top individual fundraiser, team with the most members, top social media poster, first to sign up, etc.

CAN I MAKE A DONATION TO A TEAM?

Yes, please make a donation to the team you wish to support. Your donation will be reflected on the team's page.

WHERE SHOULD I MAIL DONATION CHECKS?

WHO SHOULD I MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO?

Please make all checks payable to: Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA. In the memo, make sure it says which Walk and who the donation should be credited towards.

​HOW QUICKLY CAN I EXPECT AN ONLINE DONATION TO POST TO A PARTICIPANT'S FUNDRAISING PAGE?

Any donation made online should post immediately. If an online donation does not post within 5 minutes, please contact us. 

​WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHECK THE BOX TO "COVER PROCESSING FEES?"

​If you check this box, you will be charged the amount indicated. This amount will also be visible to the nonprofit, however, on the fundraising page your intended, initial donation amount will be displayed. 

​ARE DONATIONS TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?

All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the law. 

​DO ALL DONORS WHO MAIL THEIR DONATION RECEIVE A RECEIPT?

Any donor who mailed their donation and provided an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed. If you made your donation in installments, you will receive a receipt each time a monthly payment is processed. 

DO ALL DONORS WHO CONTRIBUTE ONLINE RECEIVE A RECEIPT? 

Yes, anyone who donates online, regardless of amount, will receive a receipt via email. 

​WHAT IS THE EPILEPSY FOUNDATION EASTERN PA'S TAX ID NUMBER?

A Tax ID number identifies the EFEPA as a 501(c)3 non-profit Organization. Our Tax ID number is 23-1882279.

​WHAT CAN I DO IF A CHECK IS WRITTEN OUT TO ME PERSONALLY?

If a donation check has been written out to you personally, you may endorse the back of the check and mail it in with a completed donation form to the EFEPA. 

​CAN I MAIL IN A CASH DONATION?

It is not a good idea to send cash in the mail. You make bring the cash the day of the Walk, drop it off at the EFEPA office or deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account. 

​CAN I ENTER CASH AND/OR CHECKS ONLINE?

Yes, go to "Manage My Page" and find the "Raise at least [goal amount]" check box on the left side-bar. Here you will see a tab to ENTER CASH/CHECKS

​NOT ALL OF MY DONORS ARE SHOWING UP IN THE HONOR ROLL, WHY?

As your donors make contributions, they have the option of whether or not they want to appear in the Honor Roll.
