Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP) is the pediatric oncology program of The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. The program is Maine’s premier treatment center for children diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders. MCCP has three primary areas of focus:
MCCP was introduced to the Maine Elks Association in 1985. It was then ratified that the program become a major project of the State Association. Since that time, the Association and its members have spent countless hours raising money in support of the program. To date, the Association has raised over $5 million dollars to support the vital work of the caregivers at MCCP.
Annually, the Maine Elks Lodges dedicate their time and resources to raise awareness and funds for Maine’s only pediatric oncology clinic and hospital.

The motto of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks is “Elks Care–Elks Share, and the Maine Elks Association continues to exemplify this motto by donating millions of dollars to help the children of Maine fighting cancer and blood disorders.
The Maine Elks Association has been championing the mission of MCCP since the program's inception in the 1980s. Since then, Maine Elks lodges have raised over $5 million to support the work of MCCP through their unmatched efforts and dedication to helping local children and families.
