March of Dimes Do-It-Yourself Fundraising supporting March of Dimes

The Larew Family is hosting a March of Dimes campaign to raise awareness and funds for March of Dimes. Please considering joining us.
We became involved with the March of Dimes after the passing of our son, Evan.
Evan Daniel Larew was born at 24 weeks gestation as the result of a chronic placental abruption and PPROM. Janel's water broke after many re-occurring bleeds at 16 weeks. Janel was placed on bed rest, and we were advised of a likely poor prognosis, but we never lost hope. Through various bleeding scares and amniotic fluid level changes, Janel was admitted to the hospital at 23.5 weeks and was to remain there until Evan was born. Once admitted to the hospital the bleeding resumed. On the morning of January 10th, 2019, at exactly 24 weeks, the severity of the bleeds increased and there was no choice but deliver via emergency C-section. The cause of the chronic abruption was unknown.
Evan fought from the beginning and lived 8 beautiful days in the NICU before dying from sepsis. Although it was not the outcome we hoped and prayed for, we will forever be grateful to our OB and NICU care teams at Aurora West Allis for their continued love and support.
We also support our angel cousins and friends, NICU graduate babies, and friends who are struggling with infertility. Thank you for your support in providing research to help these sweet babies and families to come.
The funds we raise will help March of Dimes:
- advocate to change laws to prioritize the health of moms and babies
- invest in cutting-edge research
- provide local programs like Supportive Pregnancy Care and NICU Family Support®
We are hoping to raise $8000 for being able to spend 8 days with Evan. Thank you for your support. Every donation makes a real difference!
