Stride by stride, make every step count for local children fighting cancer and blood disorders.

On October 30, 2025, our world changed forever. Our daughter, Lucy, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer. What began as a limp quickly became a journey no child should ever have to endure.

Since her diagnosis, Lucy has faced months of chemotherapy, multiple surgeries—including the amputation of her right leg below the knee—unexpected hospitalizations, infections, and countless challenges. Yet through it all, she continues to meet each day with remarkable courage, resilience, and a smile that reminds us all what hope looks like.

The Maine Children’s Cancer Program has been by our side every step of the way. Their team has provided exceptional medical care, coordinated closely with Boston Children’s Hospital, and supported our family through every high and every heartbreaking low. They don’t just treat children—they care for entire families.

We’re walking because we know firsthand how important this program is. Every dollar raised helps provide life-saving treatment, family support, and critical research for children across Maine who are facing pediatric cancer and blood disorders.

No family is ever prepared to hear the words, “Your child has cancer.” But thanks to the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, families don’t have to face that journey alone.

If Lucy’s story has touched your heart, we hope you’ll consider making a donation or sharing our page. Together, we can help bring hope, healing, and brighter futures to courageous children throughout Maine.

Thank you for supporting our family, the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, and every child fighting childhood cancer.

Together, we walk for hope. Together, we walk for every child. Together, we walk Brave Like Lucy. 💛🎗️
