Location: The Walk starts and ends at Payson Park, in the “grassy triangle” adjacent to Baxter Boulevard. The Walk route goes clockwise around the entirety of the Back Cove trail and is approximately 3.5 miles long.
8:00am – T-shirt pick up begins & Blake Hayes of Coast 93.1 welcomes all walkers
Back this year: Be sure to stop by our Bravery Beads table to select a necklace to represent why you’re walking!
8:00am-8:35am – Pre-Walk activities including arts and crafts, refreshments and snacks, photo ops and more
8:35am – Slugger, Moxie, Beacon and friends lead a warm-up for all walkers
8:45am – Speaking program begins
9:00am – Walk teams send off
Walkers are encouraged to park in Dyer’s Flat, the field next to Payson Park on the other side of Catafalque Drive, accessible by Baxter Boulevard. There will be city staff on site to assist with parking.
Carpooling is encouraged!
Your four-legged friends are welcome to join us.
Complimentary refreshments and food will be provided by our friends at Shaw’s and Aroma Joe’s. The PB&ME Food Truck will also be on site selling delicious treats.
There will be a photographer and videographer on site capturing special moments to share in post event and future event promotions. Please inform the photographer and videographer if you do not wish to be photographed or videoed.
At 8:45am on the 13th, we’ll stream a Facebook Live of the speaking portion taking place at Payson Park. Please tune in to hear special remarks from our clinic staff and one of our MCCP patient families, followed by an official send-off for each of our Walk teams!
