When a newborn had seizures and needed to have their hearing tested, but the adoptive parents had no insurance, the Center welcomed them with open arms. When surgery and radiation for a brain tumor took a child’s ability to hear and the parents had 5 other children to care for, the Center used subsidized funding to help. When a foster child was unable to speak and the family couldn’t afford the gas to get to where there’s help, the Center provided them with a gas card to get here. When someone had a stroke, life looked its darkest, and they looked for care to surround them, the Center embraced them in our monthly Stroke Support Group and volunteer opportunities.
