Team Teal: Miles Your Way supporting National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

I keep my mom's name alive by running for the NOCC.
This year.....
This year was supposed to be a really big year in my mom's life. Her grand daughter was graduating from college and moving to a new city on her own as an adult. This was a year when she would have watched with pride as her family accomplished so much and made such a difference to the world around them. Of everything I have done in my life, her grand daughter was her greatest pride and joy. Ovarian cancer robbed her of that memory.
This year, 4 years since my mom was taken from this world too soon by ovarian cancer, I have decided to run three separate marathons to help find a way to end ovarian cancer. We will start in Sydney, Australia, travel to Dublin, Ireland, then finish off in her birth city, Philadelphia, where I and my cousins will carry my Mom's name through the streets of Brotherly Love. This started as a way to help support a cousin who wanted to run his first marathon, but we're taking it even further now.
I began training for my first marathon as a way to find a place to process losing my Dad earlier that year and coming to the realization that I was going to soon lose my mom as well. I started looking up ovarian cancer marathons and landed on the NOCC Miles Your Way program. Through Miles Your Way we are supporting the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in their fight to find an early detection, and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer.
Your donations are all tax deductible, and go directly to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Your financial support will help improve the lives of individuals, families and communities touched by ovarian cancer and I need your help. Please consider making a
tax-deductible donation today in support of my and my cousins fundraising efforts. In this year of great challenges, one even greater challenge remains, saving more lives from ovarian cancer. Dollars raised for the NOCC support national programs and local market initiatives to heighten awareness of the subtle signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, assist newly-diagnosed patients throughout the country, provide ongoing support to caregivers, and advocate for the advancement of ovarian cancer research.
Help me connect with my community and show my passion for saving lives and ending ovarian cancer.
Will you please join me to help save lives by donating today?
