Team Teal: Miles Your Way supporting National Ovarian Cancer Coalition

Running for AWARENESS and EARLY DETECTION for women being told their symptoms are “normal”.
This year, I registered with Team TEAL - Miles Your Way because I want to raise awareness and funding for National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. My support will help improve the lives of individuals, families and communities touched by ovarian cancer and I need your help.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of my fundraising efforts.
I’m trekking 96 miles through the Scottish Highlands 4 months out of Chemo in August- I would love to get 96 people to each donate $20!
After being diagnosed with Stage 4B Ovarian Cancer at 40years old, I realized that a cancer can come regardless of fitness level, using non toxic products, eating organic, and basically doing everything right your whole life. Stress and genetics (in my case Lynch Syndrome) can cause an early diagnosis.
I’m passionate about educating women- my cancer was missed by multiple doctors. I had all the symptoms, but was told different things and given two surgeries that didn’t address my problems.
Had I known I had every symptom for ovarian cancer, I would have asked for more specific testing. NOCC helps educate women and clinics, as well as help fund research and support diagnosed women with grants. I am so thankful for their efforts!
