About Celebrate Morgan's life by increasing access to AEDs

Your donation helps provide AEDs for our community, in memory of Morgan.

In 2025, your generous donations helped us celebrate Morgan's 14th birthday and raise almost $20,000 -- resulting in 10 brand-new AEDs across Madison County. These have been installed and staff trained to help ensure hearts were helped with minutes mattered. We want to build on that impact this year!

Stacey and Michael Williams dropped off their seventh grader, Morgan ("Morg"), at Liberty Middle School in April 2024. They never picked him up from school again.

Morg was running in PE – something each and every kid does every day. Morg collapsed and did not have immediate access to an automated external defibrillator (AED). An unknown preexisting condition meant this surprise episode had devastating consequences.

To honor Morgan's life and memory, the Williams family wants to increase access and training for AEDs to prevent future crises for other families. Use of an AED within the first six minutes of a heart event exponentially increases the patient’s chance for survival. Having up-to-date, fully charged units – located where the public can find them – can be crucial in saving lives.

Huntsville Hospital Foundation has partnered with the American Heart Association with a goal to fund strategic placement of hundreds of AEDs in Madison and Huntsville. Every dollar you donate in memory of Morgan will support this critical "Heartbeat Heroes" program.

Donate today to be a Heartbeat Hero and celebrate this amazing son, friend and athlete who would have been 15 this year.
