The Santa Fe Children's Museum hosted a 5k Run/Walk in memory of Michaelann Perea, Museum Board member and community volunteer who inspired and changed many lives and truly cared for everyone she encountered.

The community came together at Bicentennial/Alto Park in Santa Fe. The event was open to runners at all levels and will feature a Kids Dash for children (10 & younger). The 5K Run/Walk was the kick-off event to the 2023 Move for the Move Fundraising Challenge, in support of the Santa Fe Children's Museum and its programs.

 Members of the community are encouraged to walk, bike, run, or move in ANY way in support of the Santa Fe Children's Museum and its programs.

No matter who you are, how you choose to move, or how far you go, you’ll be surrounded by the Museum family, fellow movers, and friends in the community cheering you on! Your participation in this two week fundraiser (April 30 – May 14) is your opportunity to positively impact children and families in northern New Mexico. 

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

All Move for the Museum proceeds support Virtual Field Trips, Planetarium Shows for Title 1 Schools, distribution of STEAM-based Grab and Go Kits to rural and tribal communities, our upcoming Mobile Museum, and harvesting 1,000 lbs of produce from our Community Garden to feed food insecure families.
