Where does the money go?
All funds raised for the myFace Wonder Project go to support our mission of changing faces and transforming lives through the unique comprehensive care we deliver to our patients, families, and greater craniofacial community through our medical, dental, speech, nutrition and psychosocial services we provide. Please be sure to include a note if this is in support of a school/student. The check should be made out to “myFace”. When we receive the check, we will add the total to the school, classroom, or student’s page.
How do I donate to a participating School?
You can donate by simply adding the school name in the appropriate section of the donation form. You can search for a student/school page here.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, the Wonder Project is a fundraising campaign of myFace, a 501(c)3 charity. All donations made to myFace are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. myFace’s tax ID is 13-6013760.
Participant Questions
What does it mean to be a Wonder Participant?
By participating in the myFace Wonder project, YOU and EVERYONE across the globe can join us as we come together in solidarity to collectively “choose kindness” and make a difference in the lives of those with craniofacial differences. As a participant, you can be creative with what kind and how many acts of kindness you wish to launch into your local community and beyond?
How can I get started?
Teams/classrooms make the biggest impact on our mission. By working together to raise money, team members increase their effectiveness in helping us transform lives. Share your commitment to choosing kindness with friends, family and co-workers. If you are a teacher coordinator, your goal is to ensure all participating classrooms are set up to achieve success. We suggest a class goal of $500, of course, want you to set your own personal goals as well! Any amount makes a difference in the lives of our patients and families. Your main role after signing up your students is to be a motivator and encourage each student to implement their acts of kindness across their community and beyond.
Asking for donations
There are several ways people can donate so you get fundraising credit. People who donate to your page don’t have to register to join the Wonder Project they can simply make a donation in support of the school/classroom/student. If people come to the main site and click on the main Donate button, they will be prompted to enter the name of the school and/or student they are supporting.
Can you give me some fundraising tips?
We often find that fundraising is as simple as just asking. Tell anyone and everyone that by participating in the Wonder Project you are “choosing kindness” in support of myFace’s mission to serve the craniofacial community.
