Mystic 10K and Half Marathon 2026 supporting The Quell Foundation

I am running to raise funds and awareness for The Quell Foundation, which works to break the stigma associated with mental health.
A note to the eweather community: It's time for our annual nonprofit fundraising campaign! I am excited to once again be lacing up my running sneakers for the Mystic 10k road race to raise funds for The Quell Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and increasing access to care.
Did you know that one in five adults in the U.S. experiences mental illness each year, and many more carry the invisible weight of anxiety, depression, trauma, or other challenges? All too often, there are quiet battles, fear of judgment, difficulty finding timely help, and heartbreaking loss that can follow when support falls short.
Mental health isn’t a “them” problem—it’s a human one, and the stigma that keeps people from speaking up or seeking care only makes it worse. That’s why I’m running for The Quell Foundation. Quell is doing powerful, practical work to change that reality: breaking the stigma through open, judgment-free conversations; awarding scholarships to future mental health professionals so more people can get the care they need; supporting people who have been personally affected including student athletes and first responders; expanding access to treatment; and creating resources that empower individuals and communities toward real wellness. Their efforts—from scholarships for those pursuing mental health careers to programs that normalize these conversations—give hope and build a stronger safety net for all of us.
I hope you'll support me again this year. Thank you so much!
