"Each day, there are many experiences that will remind you why you’re doing this, and how it will benefit children and their families. You cannot help but be inspired."

Trevor Crystal - Multi year National Rider

Like many, having spent my entire childhood on the bike, it was my first experience of freedom and the power knowing the world is out there and I couldn’t wait to see it. From childhood to adulthood, the more things change, the more they stay the same. From riding up mountains, to downpours of either rain or hail, dare I say the start of a snowfall halfway through a ride, to pushing 70km/h down that same mountain, getting on the bike today still reiterates the simple sense of freedom of travel. I’m fortunate that I can still get on the bike and feel the wind in my face, the power in my legs and the heart pounding when putting in ‘the work’ of a hefty ride.

However, there are those who as kids will not get that feeling of freedom, the wind in their hair and the summer sun beating down on their face. At least not yet - but soon. I’m riding the National Kids for Cancer ride for those that some day will. Every kid should have the opportunity to be able to explore the world and see it through their eager eyes as they traverse new boundaries on where and how far a bike can take them not just on the road but in life.

It is our responsibility to give back more than what we take. It’s not about ‘me’, it’s about WE. Help give back by being part of my ride. Your donation will go directly to assist kids with cancer which, in all funds raised through other various sources, only 3% of donations are allocated for kids.

I ride for the challenge. I ride because I can, for those that can’t and those that will some day - ride again.

Thanks so much for your support!
