Laura Stack, MBA, CSP, CPAE is the Founder & CEO of Johnny’s Ambassadors, Inc., which was formed in 2020 after her 19-year-old son, Johnny, died by suicide from paranoid delusion from using high-potency marijuana concentrates. Johnny’s Ambassadors work together to educate parents and teens about the dangers of today’s high-THC marijuana on adolescent brain development, mental illness, and suicide. Prior to her advocacy work, Laura was a 30-year award-winning professional speaker, spokesperson, and author with eight bestselling productivity books. Her platform now brings education, awareness, and prevention curriculum to parents, healthcare conferences, community groups, and schools to raise awareness of THC use, mental illness, and suicide. Described as a woman with unstoppable drive and unwavering purpose, Laura is determined to get teens to #StopDabbing.
National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week® (NDAFW), coordinated by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), is a week-long health observance highlighting the science-based facts about how drugs and alcohol affect the brain and body. Community Anti-drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) is encouraging all substance use and misuse prevention professionals to plan educational activities for youth in recognition of NDAFW.
As a member of CADCA, Johnny's Ambassadors is offering a FREE fundraising event FOR TEENS (on a donation basis) to help them understand the harms of marijuana on brain development, mental health, and suicidal ideation. Parents and concerned adults are also welcomed to join. A suggested donation is $25.00, but we would be grateful for any amount to contribute to our efforts to educate youth about today's high-potency THC products.
