In this unique year, we are asking our most loyal friends to join us for a virtual NEIU Golden Gala and Alumni Awards Ceremony. It may be a different way of participating, we still want you to dress up, grab a drink and join us for an evening in celebration of Northeastern Illinois University, its alumni and students.
At the Virtual NEIU Golden Gala, we hope you will consider other ways to support NEIU on-site at the event:
- Live Ask: immediately following the evening’s presentation, we will ask our guests to show their support and donate during a Live Ask.
- Bid on an Auction Item: Bid on one of several incredible auction items.

In this unique year, we are asking our most loyal friends to join us for a virtual NEIU Golden Gala and Alumni Awards Ceremony. It may be a different way of participating, but we still want you to dress up, grab a drink and join us for an evening in celebration of Northeastern Illinois University, its alumni and students.
You can also show your support by using the hashtag #NEIUVIRTUAL GALA on a Twitter or Instagram post and your photo will be streamed on this site!
At the Virtual NEIU Golden Gala, we hope you will consider other ways to support NEIU on-site at the event:

- Enjoy a ‘Boxperience’ Meal: Have a gourmet dinner for two or an appetizer and wine delivered to your home the evening of the gala. Proceeds benefit the NEIU Foundation.

The NEIU Golden Gala's Cause
The annual NEIU Golden Gala serves as an opportunity to recognize outstanding alumni of Northeastern Illinois University. Congratulations to this year’s awardees for their professional and life accomplishments! Together, you elevated Northeastern’s reputation in our local community and in the world. NEIU has more than 85,000 alumni across the globe doing magnificent work, and this year we have the privilege to celebrate five of them.
At the Virtual NEIU Golden Gala, donations at all levels are always welcome, but we encourage you to consider an extraordinary gift. The NEIU Golden Gala is your time to step forward with gifts that help NEIU students achieve great success, gifts that help programs achieve exemplary research and outcomes, and gifts that help pave the way for education for generations to come.
The Golden Gala began only 5 years ago and quickly became an NEIU tradition. This year, we have faced many different challenges. Now, more than ever, community and connection are important. Although the Golden Gala comes to you virtually, we still want you to be inspired to celebrate and give. So join us on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 7 p.m.
