About Over The Edge 4 Granted 2027

Over The Edge is a unique and thrilling way for you and your company, friends, or family to support GRANTED. If you crave adventure and want to help support local children with terminal or life-threatening conditions, then Over The Edge is for you!

Please join GRANTED on April 25, 2026 when participants will be given the opportunity to rappel down CenterPoint Energy's nine-story building in downtown Evansville overlooking the mighty Ohio River.

Every day, children with life-threatening conditions face difficult obstacles. Imagine the fear and anxiety these children face each and every day, and you can step up and stand beside them in a show of solidarity.

In order to rappel during Over the Edge for Granted, participants must fundraise or donate a minimum of $1,000 by April 17, 2026 to join us on this adventure.  Invite your friends, family and coworkers to help you raise the funds to go OVER THE EDGE!  Money raised will go towards making magical Wishes come true and help us ensure NO CHILD ever sits on a waiting list.

Funding will also allow GRANTED to maintain the high level of child and family support through the Beyond The Wish programming that offers ten separate areas of focus including support groups, inclusive events throughout the year, and resources in the family's times of crisis.

How Your Support Makes a Difference for Granted Wish Children Like Brave Izzy

Nine-year-old Izzy has a smile that can light up an entire room. Bright, bubbly, and full of life, she loves creating colorful art, singing along to Taylor Swift songs, and dreaming about princess castles and magical adventures. To meet her, you would immediately notice her joy before you ever notice the challenges she carries.  But Izzy’s journey has been anything but easy.

Born with Sickle Cell SS, Izzy has spent much of her young life navigating a world of hospital rooms, clinic visits, medications, and painful procedures. On top of that, she was later diagnosed with Epilepsy, adding yet another layer of uncertainty to an already difficult road. While most children her age worry about homework or what game to play next, Izzy has had to learn how to endure intense pain crises, exhausting treatments, and frightening medical episodes with a courage far beyond her years.

There are days when the pain is overwhelming. Days when simply getting out of bed takes incredible strength. Days filled with needles, monitors, waiting rooms, and hard conversations no child should have to hear.   And yet, through it all, Izzy remains positive.

She continues to laugh easily, dream boldly, and care deeply about the people around her. Even during her hardest moments, she finds ways to create joy through painting colorful pictures, dancing to her favorite music, or making others smile with her sweet personality and infectious spirit. Her resilience is not loud or dramatic. It is found in the quiet determination she shows every single day simply by continuing to hope.

In 2025, Izzy’s Wish came true when she traveled to Walt Disney World Resort. For a little while, the hospitals, medications, and pain took a backseat to magic, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She met princesses she had adored for years, experienced the wonder of Disney, and had the chance to simply be a child and not a patient.

That trip became more than a vacation. It became a reminder to Izzy and her family that joy can still exist in the middle of hardship. That even during life’s most difficult chapters, moments of wonder and happiness still matter deeply.

Izzy’s story is one of resilience, courage, and hope. She faces battles many adults could never imagine, yet she continues to move through life with grace, strength, and a smile that refuses to fade. She reminds everyone around her that bravery does not always look fearless. Sometimes, bravery looks like a little girl choosing joy anyway.
