We invite all passionate athletes, coaches, and teams to be a part of the Playing for a Purpose movement. Join hands with the Austin Hatcher Foundation and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families navigating childhood cancer.
Teams can create and share a fundraising page (Click the green box, "Start or Join a team"), sell specially designed T-shirts, or combine both options. Whether through word of mouth donations, T-shirt sales (t-shirts can be provided by the Foundation), bake sales, or any other unique option the team thinks of to raise money, our peer-to-peer fundraising software gives teams the freedom to unleash their creativity to make a difference.
For instance, a lacrosse team could call it "LaCROSSe Out Cancer," a soccer team might choose "Kickin' It for Kids with Cancer," while a basketball team could opt for "Hoops for Hatch." The program unites all these events under the common umbrella of "Playing for a Purpose."
This structure fosters friendly competition within the team and across different teams, inspiring players to actively contribute to their team's success while benefiting a greater purpose.
During and after treatment, the Austin Hatcher Foundation is here to provide comprehensive coordinated care and unique solutions for all members of a family facing childhood cancer. Services provide children and families with the tools to cope in the present and thrive in the future after childhood cancer. Whether it’s grief counseling, occupational therapy, a parents day out, sibling tutoring, family counseling, trauma therapy or a night of community with others who have been through a similar story, AHF is here for whatever a family may need along their journey and beyond.
