When and where is the event? The event will be on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Slater Memorial Park Pavilion & Dog Park. Located at 712 Armistice Blvd, Pawtucket, RI 02861.
What time does the event start? On-site registration opens at 8:00 am. The Walk begins at 9:00 am.
Do I have to register in advance? Pre-registration is encouraged, but in-person registration is available before the start time.
Is there a participation waiver? All registrants must sign a participant waiver – either during online registration or in-person at the event.
Dog Policies & Safety
Are dogs allowed? Yes, leashed-trained pets are welcome. Please, no dogs in heat.
What type of leash should I use? Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash (maximum 6 feet) at all times.
Are vaccinations required? Yes, all dogs must be current on vaccinations required by Rhode Island Law, including rabies, for the safety of all participants and other pets.
What if my dog is aggressive? Organizers reserve the right to remove any aggressive or ill animals. Please do not participate with any dogs that have a known history of aggression toward people or other animals
Do I have to clean up after my dog? Yes, you are responsible for cleaning up waste and disposing of it in the correct bins.
Participation
Can I walk without a dog? Yes, human-only participants are welcome to join to support the cause!
Can I bring more than one dog? Yes, but there is a limit of 2 dogs per walker.
What if I can't attend but still want to support? Of course! You can make a donation online to directly support the cause.
