14th ANNUAL PEDAL PAST POVERTY

It is Partners for Housing's 41st year helping the Mankato community and beyond!

What: Pedal Past Poverty is a charity event hosted by Partners for Housing and other local sponsors. Teams of 8 compete against each other in 15-minute intervals of biking/walking to raise money for the unhoused population in and around the Mankato area. Prizes and fun are guaranteed to be had at this fun and high energy charity event!

Each team is responsible for raising $1,000 by the day of the event. There is no penalty for not reaching your goal, every cent counts! Get creative with how you raise your funds! Host a bake sale, garage sale, or fundraise with a restaurant, the possibilities are endless! Your team also has the option to set up sponsors to "match your miles". For example, a sponsor can say they will donate $20 if you walk/bike a mile; don't forget to keep in mind that you will only have 15 minutes! Please note that there will be a team fee of $80 ($10 per person) upon registration to help teams meet their fundraising goal.

​Theme - Superheroes! After 13 years of hosting this fundraiser, we have come to realize that we are all superheroes! All of our sponsors that ensure we are able to host this fundraiser year after year, all of the local businesses that donate prizes and goodie bag items, and of course you! We greatly appreciate each and every one of our community members that takes the time to fundraise for our programs and operations. This is an amazing act that never goes unnoticed, we see you, and we think you're our heroes! We ask your team to suit up in their superhero best, bring their team spirit, and get ready to Pedal Past Poverty!

INTERESTED IN WALKING INSTEAD?

Two years ago, we introduced a walking portion to our charity event, and it went extremely well. The feedback we received was fantastic, and many participants enjoyed the active and inclusive nature of the walk. We hope to see more families take advantage of this option this year, it's a great activity to keep the kiddos preoccupied while also raising money for a great cause! 

This year, we're thrilled to announce that we're offering this option again!  We're confident it will be even better this time around! Be sure to select "I want to bike" even if only one teammate wants to bike.
