Common Questions

When is the event and where will it be located?
The Mid-Atlantic Region - Philadelphia Together in TEAL® will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at a NEW LOCATIONThe Navy Yard, 4747 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19112. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. 
How can I register?
Registration is free this year! Click here to register now. 
Do I need to register to participate?
Anyone planning to participate must register, sign the waiver, and receive a bib. Every team member must also register. All registered team members who raise a minimum of $100 will receive an event T-shirt.
How do I get a 2024 Together in TEAL T-Shirt?
All registered participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive a 2024 Together in TEAL® event T-shirt. All registered survivors will receive a special T-shirt celebrating and honoring their role in our 2024 Together in TEAL ® event regardless of fundraising level. Registered survivors who raise $100 or more will receive two shirts - a TEAL survivor shirt and a 2024 Together in TEAL®  event T-shirt.
When can I pick-up my T-shirt?

You will be able to pick up your shirt at the event. Please note that T-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. While we do our best with ordering, we cannot guarantee the availability of all sizes. There will also be opportunities to pick up T-shirts ahead of the event. Details coming soon.
Do you require fundraising?
To receive a 2024 Together in TEAL T-shirt, you will need to raise or donate $100. (Registered survivors will receive their Survivor T-shirt at the event.) Raising funds in support of NOCC’s mission ensures that our critical programs and resources are sustained for those who need us most. If every participant raises at least $100, we will be one step closer to ending ovarian cancer by supporting awareness and education, providing quality-of-life programming, funding life-saving research, and bringing the community together in hope and support.
What is a Top Fundraiser or VIP?
Anyone who raises at least $1,000 is considered a VIP and will be recognized at the event. We have several fundraising rewards at various levels. For more information please click here.
Is there a deadline for fundraising?
Fundraising for the event closes on Monday, October 14, 2024. There are several levels of fundraising you can achieve as an individual or team. Please click here for more details. 
  


Website Questions

What is my personal page URL?
A personal URL is a shortened link to your team or personal page that you can send to friends and family in emails or social posts to have them join your team or make a donation.
Can a donor add a dedication message that appears in my fundraising Timeline?
When a donor makes a donation online, they can enter text to appear on the Timeline. This may be the donor's name, or it could be something like "From the whole Smith family" or "In Honor of Grandma Mary".
Do I need a new username and password?
We have a new and improved registration platform and as such, you will be required to set up a new username and password during the registration process. Please remember your new personal login information to access your fundraising dashboard and for any future registrations within our platform. Please contact support@ovarian.org with questions.

I'm having registration problems, who can I contact?

Donations Questions

Can I make a donation to a team?
Yes, you can make a donation to a participant, or team, or you can make a general donation.
Where should I mail donation checks and who should I make my check out to?
All donations should be mailed to:

*Please make all checks payable to: NOCC - Philadelphia and in the memo include “Philadelphia Together in Teal” and who the donations should be credited to, ie a participant or team name.
How do I find a participant's personal fundraising webpage?
Click on this link and begin typing the first or last name. Your options will display as you type.
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to a participant's fundraising account?
Any donation made online should be posted immediately. If an online donation does not post within 1 day, please contact us at:  support@ovarian.org - Upon receiving your request, we will send you a personal response (typically within 24 hours). Please allow additional response time over the weekend.
What happens if I check the checkbox to "cover processing fees"?
If you check this checkbox, you will be charged the amount indicated at checkout. This will help NOCC with the cost of processing credit card fees.
Are donations tax-deductible?
All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. 
What is the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's Tax ID number?
A Tax ID number identifies the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition as a 501(c)(3) non-profit Organization. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition Tax ID number is 65-0628064
Do all donors who mail their donations receive a receipt?
Any donor who mails their donation and provides an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed. If you made your donation in installments, you will receive a receipt each time a monthly payment is processed.
How do I add a dedication when I make a donation?
When you make a donation online, you can designate what you want to appear as your recognition name on the participant's page. This may be your name, or it could be something like "From the whole Smith Family" or "in honor of Grandma Mary."



Fundraising Questions

What do I do if a check is written out to me personally?
If a donation check has been written out to you personally, you may deposit it in your account and make the donation by credit card online or endorse the back of the check and mail it in with a completed donation form to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition - Boston.
Can I mail in a cash donation?
We do not suggest sending a cash donation in the mail. You can deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account or make a donation with a credit card online. 
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to my page?

A donor is requesting a Tax ID number; what is that and how can I get it?
A Tax ID number identifies the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Many donors will request this number to validate their donation as tax-deductible. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition Tax ID number is 65-0628064.
Not all of my donors are showing up on my donation page. Why?
When your donors make a contribution, they can choose whether or not they would like to appear on the fundraising page.
Where can I find a list of the people who have donated to me?
Click here to visit your dashboard, click on the “Raised” tab at the bottom, and then click on the "Thank Donors" tab if you want to send a quick thank you.  You will be able to see all your donations,
How can I send a thank you email to my donors?
To easily send thank you emails to donors, click here to go to your dashboard and then click on the "Raised" tab at the bottom, then click the "Thank Donors" tab. You will see a list of donors and a picture to the right of an envelope, click that envelope and thank donors.
