Because behind every pie is a purpose.
Teens today need safe, affirming spaces where they’re seen, heard, and supported—especially as they navigate the pressures of school, identity, and mental health. Alive Centers offer exactly that: free, teen-led drop-in programs that provide connection, leadership opportunities, and a true sense of belonging.
By participating in Pie for a Purpose, you’re not just helping us hit a fundraising goal—you’re investing in preventative mental wellness, creative expression, mentorship, and the next generation of changemakers. Your support fuels the programs, people, and possibilities that help youth come alive.
Since 2015, the Alive Center has empowered over 8,000 teens through more than 83,000 visits to our free, drop-in programs. As a Teen-Led, Teen-Driven™ nonprofit, Alive creates inclusive spaces where young people are encouraged to lead, express themselves, and connect with others in ways that build confidence and lasting community.
Founded by Kandice Henning, Alive was born from the belief that every teen deserves a safe space to be seen, heard, and supported. That belief has grown into a movement—one that combines mentorship, creativity, leadership, and preventative mental health in a way that meets teens exactly where they are.
At Alive, prevention starts with belonging. Whether it’s stepping into a leadership role, joining a peer-led club, or simply finding a space to be themselves, teens at Alive discover not just who they are—but who they can become.

Whipped cream. Big dreams. Real impact.
To celebrate 10 YEARS of teen empowerment, the Alive Center is launching Pie for a Purpose—a weeklong fundraiser packed with community spirit, meaningful giving, and a whole lot of whipped cream.
Every dollar raised supports our free, teen-led drop-in programs that help youth discover their passions, build confidence, and come alive. These programs offer early, preventative mental health support—giving teens the tools and space to thrive before crisis hits.
But here’s the twist:
