The theme for this year’s Pink Ribbon Luncheon is “Thru the Looking Glass - Embracing a Journey Thru the Unexpected.” Little did the Pink Ribbon Planning Committee know when developing this theme around a breast cancer patient’s journey that they would need to embrace the unexpected to continue this event in its cherished form. Because of concern for the contestants and a care for the community regarding the spread of COVID-19, the Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation announces today that it is unable to have the planned in-person event on April 7th at a physical location.

To be clear, this is not a cancellation. The committee is pushing through, working diligently and excited to adapt this public event into an online experience. The committee has been proactive in making this year’s Pink Ribbon Luncheon an online experience with profiles of the Brave and Beautiful Survivors, high quality production videos, auctions, raffle, sponsor recognition and more all done through contestant websites, auction sites and the social media platform Facebook. The hope is to create an intentional online presence that celebrates contestants, entertains participants and motivates the support patients deserve.  The committee is also encouraged and excited that this may provide an opportunity to reach an even larger audience.
