About Pins For Paws

Spare us your excuses and sign up today!!

Join us for our 1st Annual Pins for Paws fundraising event for Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary.  Originally, this event was to be in-person bowling, food, and fun, however, in light of COVID-19, we've had to change that plan and make it a virtual event.  Together we'll all help to roll in some funds throughout the month of September, while having some FuN along the way.

Our event will officially begin on September 1, 2020. We ask that each participant raise a minimum of $75.00 and, of course, hope that you'll do even more.  100% of all donations raised for this event will go directly toward the health, care, and well-being of our senior pups.  Oh, and a few cats we've started saving as well.

Throughout the entire month we'll have some activities and challenges that may pop up, so be sure to keep an eye out for them and join in when they do.  You'll also have the opportunity to earn some badges along your fundraising journey.  As you hit monetary milestones, these will be posted on your personal donation page.

There's not a moment more to spare, so sign up today and get rolling in those funds!!  Remember all paws matter and every dollar counts!!

How to get started...

1 - Register as an individual and/or team participant below.

2 - Set up your personal and/or team donation page.  Be creative with your team names and pages.  You can add pictures and videos to them as well as update the messages and colors on them.

3 - Share the link to your page with family and friends via email and social media requesting donations.

4 - Recruit family and friends to join in on the fun by joining your team, signing up individually, and inviting others to join as well.

5 - Collect donations throughout the entire month of September.  Each participant that raises the minimum ($75) will receive a Pins for Paws event t-shirt.

6 - Earn badges displayed on your personal page, as your donation total increases.

7 - Keep an eye out for possible pop-up challenges and activities and be sure to join in.

Make Pins for Paws your priority for the month of September ... be creative and have some fun ... design your team and/or personal page once you sign up (OR you can leave it as it is if you choose), go bowling (if allowed in person) with your team, have a game night (yes, there are bowling board games), think of fun bowling themed ideas throughout the month and share photos and videos in our gallery OR on your team and personal pages. Don't forget to use our event hashtag #pinsforpaws20.

For anyone not comfortable participating online (or for virtual bowlers collecting in-person donations) cash and check are also welcome.  Checks can be made out to Always and Furever.  Please add "Pins for Paws" on the memo line.  For area monetary donation drop-offs, please contact Marie Fabrizius via email Marie@alwaysandfurever.love to make arrangements.  General check donations can be mailed directly to the barn ... The Little Red Barn

Imagine a place where old dogs, sick dogs, abused dogs, abandoned dogs and unwanted dogs all came together, to rest, to live, to play and snuggle. Where meals come morning and night, classical music is always playing and love overflows. The only choice they have to make is which couch or dog bed to lay on and which visitor to pick to smother with kisses. Just a place for dogs to be. To wait in the comforts of a home until they can find a family of their own who won’t throw them away when they are old or sick or even dying. To know they are loved for who they are, at this moment and then to love us in return regardless of their past. To be the model of forgiveness and in return teach us to be better, kinder humans and to always know that even if in a small way we can always make a difference. This is the place we strive to be. This is our mission. This is our little red barn. A home for so many souls others discarded and we can’t imagine living without.

A Message from the Owner ...

"To say it's been an amazing, incredible, simple ridiculously wonderful journey is an understatement. Its more work, joy, heartache, laughter, headaches, peace, sorrow, and love than I could've ever imagined and all because of the amazing people who have come together to pour their souls into a mission much bigger than anyone of us with one common goal to help and love God's beautifully broken and neglected creatures and give them a life worth living with only kindness and peace.

3 years ago it was still just a dream. Today, well its simply magic. Last year my birthday fundraiser raised 2,500. This year I'm hoping to raise 5,000. With over 120 animals in our care the vet bills average $50,000 a month. Some months have been over $80,000!!! Insane, right? Well not really when you pull a dog knowing it has cancer or is HW+or a cat that was hit by a car and needs a leg amputated, we follow through with the very best medical care because every single animals is treated as our own, like God's own, as they should be. And when funds are low, like low low low since the pandemic and we don't know what tomorrow may bring we run off faith, because it got us this far and God has never let us down. So if you find it in your heart to donate please do,and if you already have THANK YOU! I can never thank everyone who has supported us enough for loving these souls just as much as we do."
