How Your Support Makes a Difference

The Power of Pink is a party for a cause. Held each October since 2013, the Power of Pink has raised more than $367,000 for breast cancer awareness, education and to provide resources and services for breast cancer patients in our community.  Since 2015, more than $326,000 of that total raised has benefited the Norton Cancer Institute Pat Harrison Resource Center in Jeffersonville, Ind. The Power of Pink is a group of dedicated community volunteers from the News & Tribune and from throughout the Southern Indiana community.

The Resource Center opened its doors on the Clark Memorial Hospital campus in Jeffersonville, In., in February, 2016. Since that time, cancer patients and survivors have embraced the support and services provided the Resource Center which has had more than 27,000 patient interactions during that time. The center offers up-to-date information on cancer prevention and treatment as well as a variety of free support services to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of all those impacted by the disease. Some services provided include music therapy, art therapy, clinical trial searches, wigs, prosthesis, turbans, nutritional counseling, a lending library, educational classes and more.

Thank you

Cancer doesn't stop and neither does the Power of Pink.

Thanks to your generous support, the Power of Pink has helped provided free resources and support services to thousands of people facing cancer in our community through the Norton Cancer Institute Pat Harrison Resource Center and the Norton Healthcare Foundation.

Until there is a cure, our work is not finished.

We are thrilled to again partner with an outstanding group of community ambassadors in conjunction with our annual Power of Pink event to help us get the fundraising party started before we even get to the venue!  We would like to introduce you to the 2022 Power of Pink Ambassadors!

These community members make it a habit to serve others and are all committed supporters of the Power of Pink.  Will you help them make the biggest impact yet for those facing cancer in our community?

Double Your Impact

We are thrilled to announce that community donations to the Power of Pink Ambassador Fundraising Campaign through the Norton Healthcare Foundation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $20,000 thanks to a generous grant from the Hazel and Walter T. Bales Foundation Inc.
