Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do I need to register a team of four?
A: No, you can register individually and you will be grouped in a team with the same skill level. If you are a team of two, depending on the amount of registrants, you may be placed with another couple to make a team of four. 

Q: How do you play pickleball with four players?
A: Teams of four players will rotate after five points have been scored. This gives each team of two time to rest during this fast paced match!

Q: How many games am I guaranteed to play?
A: Each player is guaranteed three games of competitive play. There will also be opportunities to play social games as the tournament progresses and teams are eliminated from the tournament.

Q: Who's running the tournament?
A: Not to worry - we have the Ontario Pickleball Academy there to run and support the entire tournament!

Q: What is the format of the tournament?
A:  Round robin/pools feed into a single elimination medal round with a gold medal match to 25 points (win by 2).

Q: What should I wear & bring?
A:  Please wear comfortable, athletic clothing, indoor running shoes and a water bottle for our refillable stations.

Q: Do we have access to a change room?
A:  Yes! Rally at Sherwood Village has a change room with lockers, showers, fresh towels and a sauna. You will have full access to these amenities. 


Q: Are there lockers available to store my stuff?
A:  Yes, there are lockers available for your use on the tournament day.


Q: Is there an option to rent a racket? Or could I try one from the Pro Shop?
A: Yes you can rent a racket from the Pro Shop. It's best to contact the OPA directly at 226-338-1619 or team@ontariopickleballacademy.com to confirm your options.


Q: Is there parking at Sherwood Village?
A:  Yes! There is plenty of free parking at Sherwood Village. You should enter through the Il Fornello and Scotiabank entrance and head straight down the hall to the left.
