Why Participate?

By joining or donating to our RCF Colfax team, Carley's Cool Cats, you're helping us fund programs and provide resources to meet the unique emotional and physical needs of AYA patients with cancer and fund research and clinical trials that explore less toxic, more personalized cancer therapies.

This year, we are raising funds to expand our Carley's Closet program in the greater Denver area.

Thank you for your support and please share this page with family, friends and co-workers to help   young adults with cancer, especially in the greater Denver area.

Your Support Makes a Difference

The Rutledge Cancer Foundation was founded in 2011 after 15-year-old Carley Rutledge was diagnosed with Stage IV Ewing sarcoma. Following a 2012 relapse, she joined a groundbreaking vaccine trial that held her cancer in remission for eight years. Sadly, it returned in 2020, and Carley passed away at age 27.

Her battle highlighted a glaring gap: adolescents and young adults (AYAs) fall between pediatric and adult cancer care, facing unique challenges with little dedicated support. Childhood cancer receives less than 4% of NIH funding, and treatments have barely advanced in over 40 years.

At RCF, we’re committed to a brighter future for AYAs battling cancer—reducing their burden, improving survival rates, and driving research for cures, especially for the ~90,000 AYAs diagnosed annually in the U.S. with sarcomas and other solid tumors.

Your support means the world. Thank you for your generosity! If you know others who’d like to help, please share this page (buttons are top right). Together, we can make a real difference.

Thank you for your support!
