Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for signing up to volunteer! Your participation is critical to the success of our event. We're offering a range of volunteer opportunities to give you plenty of ways you can get involved and show your support. 


Rest Stop Coordinator Volunteer

  • This is the point of contact for Rest Stop Captain. They will be on hand to make sure you have all needed supplies and if you run out of supplies they will work to get you resupplied. 

Rest Stop 1 Volunteer - Mickler Beach

  • The hours of this rest stop will be 8:30 - 4pm. 

Rest Stop 2 Volunteer - Vilano Beach Publix

  • The hours of this rest stop will be 9:30 - 3pm. 

SAG (Safety and Gear) Coordinator

  • This person will the point of contact for riders calling in for assistance out on the road. They will answer calls to direct SAG Volunteers to riders. You will be asked to download and app to be able to see where SAG Volunteers are to be able to contact the nearest Volunteer. You may delete this app after the event. 

SAG (Safety and Gear) Volunteer

  • This person will be driving their own vehicle out on the route. The ideal vehicle will have a town hitch, a bike rack and a floor pump. We will do our best to provide you with these items if you do not have them. You will also be provided spare tubes, water and snacks for riders. You will be asked to download an app on your phone so that the SAG Coordinator knows where you are and can dispatch the nearest SAG Volunteer to a rider in distress, you may delete the app after the event. 

Start/Finish Volunteer

  • These volunteers will be at Oceanfront Park for their entire time volunteering. They will be asked to help setup and take down, direct riders to packet pickup, help coordinate start, or help serve breakfast, 

Lunch Volunteer

  • These volunteers will help serve lunch at Oceanfront Park from 11am until the last rider finishes. 

Equipment Volunteer

  • These volunteers will help with the pickup and return of equipment. Volunteers should be prepared for heavy lifting of tables & tents. This position will be needed on Friday and Saturday before the event. Volunteers can choose to work one or both days. 

Route Marking Volunteer

  • These volunteers will drive the route the day before the event to plant route markers directing riders along. Volunteers will also be needed on the day of the event to pick up route markers. Volunteers can choose to work one or both days. 

Ride Marshall Coordinator Volunteer

  • This person will be tasked with recruiting registered riders to act as Ride Marshalls. A Ride Marshall is there to be the eyes on the course. They will politely correct Riders not acting safe, notify Event Director and/or SAG Coordinator of any concerns, they should remain at any accident sites until aide arrives. If any of the above are witnessed they will be expected to report information to Ride Director at the end of the ride. 

Packet Pickup Volunteer

  • These volunteers will be needed to check riders into the event and hand them their packets. This position is needed on Friday and Saturday. Volunteers can choose to work one or both days. Also this is a volunteer position that will not interfere with a riders ability to ride the event. Packet Pickup will close at 7am, allowing riders time to get ready. 

Medical Volunteer

  • These volunteers will be asked to render first aid to anyone on the event (riders or volunteers). Depending on how many volunteers we get, you will either be stationed at Oceanfront Park or at rest stop.
