Rise Together 2026 supporting Elizabeth Freeman Center Inc

For over fifty years, Elizabeth Freeman Center has provided life-saving services to thousands of survivors or domestic and sexual violence. But we did not — and could not — do it alone.
Abuse thrives in silence. When we take our message to the streets, we start important conversations about what we, as a community, can do to support survivors and prevent future violence.
Rise Together is also our largest fundraiser of the year. In these uncertain times, we're more reliant than ever on the generosity of our friends and neighbors to continue offering the resources our clients need to get and stay safe. By working together, we can turn our shared enthusiasm into meaningful, material support for survivors.
Elizabeth Freeman Center is Berkshire County's only rape crisis and domestic violence services center. In the past year alone, we have worked with approximately 2,000 survivors and their 2,000 children, providing
a 24/7 hotline and emergency response services; emergency safe shelter; individual and group counseling; counseling for children exposed to domestic violence; legal and housing advocacy; youth violence prevention education in classrooms; economic empowerment programs; specialized programming for immigrants, LGBTQ+ and disabled survivors; transitional housing, and more.
All EFC services are confidential, free of charge, and available in multiple languages.
We work with clients at all three of our offices in Great Barrington, Pittsfield, and North Adams, as well as Berkshire County Kid’s Place. Advocates are stationed at all Berkshire County court houses, and on call 24 hours a day to respond to hospitals and police stations in the event of an attack.
