Hi, I’m Jeanette Permenter, Chief Executive Officer of Rise Life Services. For more than two decades, I have dedicated my life to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, first in direct care and now in leadership. I’ve seen firsthand how much trust families place in us when their loved ones call Rise home. That trust means everything.

At Rise, we support people served through OPWDD (Office for People With Developmental Disabilities) and OMH (Office of Mental Health). We don’t just provide programming, we provide safe, supportive homes and spaces where people can live with dignity, stability, and belonging.

That’s why this fundraiser for the Shark Tank Showdown is so deeply important to me.

We are raising funds to install fire-rated safety doors in every Rise program location. These doors are more than a building upgrade. They are a critical layer of protection for the vulnerable individuals we serve. In an emergency, they can save lives. They offer peace of mind to families. And they ensure that every person in our care is surrounded by the safety they deserve.
