About the Cause
Forward Momentum Chicago (FMC) transforms the lives of young people through dance. Our mission is to inspire possibilities through dance education programs that strengthen schools and communities with limited arts access.
We bring high-quality, affordable programs, celebrating a variety of dance styles, out of the studio, right into Chicago Public Schools and neighborhoods. We don’t just teach dance, we encourage our students to see possibilities and seize opportunities, building the next generation of leaders.
Through dance, students gain the confidence to try new things and are inspired to achieve goals and dreams they may not have thought possible for themselves or their communities.

As we close out a full year of virtual instruction and prepare for our in-person Summer Dance Camp and summer programming, Forward Momentum Chicago is pleased to announce the return of Relevé Soirée. We hope that you will be able to join us as we celebrate the talents and resilience of the young people from our programs.
Our June event will be hybrid with in-person and virtual attendance options, and we are taking every precaution to ensure a safe, fun, and engaging evening. The festivities will include video performances from our dance education programs, a silent auction, paddle raise, and special recognitions for our summer camp sponsors and more.
