About Red Shoe Day IV 2021

Red Shoe Day 2021!

How much has changed over the last year!  Despite the challenges of 2020, we thank you for your support of the many families cared for at our San Diego Ronald McDonald House.

Registration closes on Monday, October 4th so please register today and encourage friends, family, and coworkers to register also!

Our annual Red Shoe Day fundraiser helps to ensure that all families from the Imperial Valley will be close to their hospitalized child when they need it most. Your volunteer service is key to making this event a success for Imperial Valley children and families at San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House.

Please help us kick off Red Shoe Day by "Celebrating Zoe", an amazing girl who overcame a kidney disease.  Scroll down to read more of her story.

El Centro Regional Medical Center is matching every dollar raised, up to $5,000, so your gift will have double the impact!

We look forward to making this year’s Red Shoe Day a meaningful one. Should you have any questions, please reach out to Allegra Sonza Gratianne at asonza@rmhcsd.org or at 858-598-2417. We will be sure to keep you posted along the way!

 Thank you for your support!

Please note that we are planning to hold Red Shoe Day in-person. If changes occur due to state and county guidelines, we will go virtual.

Celebrate Zoe

Help us kick off Red Shoe Day by making a donation to "Celebrate Zoe"!

As a toddler, Zoe from the Imperial Valley experienced worrisome swelling throughout her body: she had a kidney problem that threatened kidney failure. While Zoe was being treated in San Diego, her mother, Melissa, found a "home away from home" at San Diego's Ronald McDonald House. After being near Zoe's side in the hospital, Melissa could walk across the street to shower, sleep, and eat a nutritious meal. Zoe's grandma, Lucy, was relieved knowing her daughter was being taken care of while far from home.

Zoe has gone 5 years without a relapse and is going strong! Please join us as we "Celebrate Zoe" and the many Imperial Valley families helped by the Ronald McDonald House.

Your donation will be matched, $1 for $1, up to $5,000 by El Centro Regional Medical Center. Meaning your gift will have double the impact!

What your Gift Will Do

Your gift will help families find stability and peace of mind with rest, nourishment, and connections with others in similar situations. Best of all, you'll help hospitalized children benefit from the love and care of their families when it matters most.

All money raised from Red Shoe Day Imperial Valley will support the Home Fund, underwriting the core mission services of Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Temporary lodging, meals, and other life necessities at San Diego's Ronald McDonald House help to sustain families whose lives have been turned upside down by their child's diagnosis and treatment. By providing an unrestricted gift to our Home Fund, you are supporting our highest and most urgent needs as determined by our volunteer Board of Trustees.

Thanks to our generous supporters
