FAQs
Do I have to run?
Nope! If you register for the 5k you can choose to walk or run. Complete all five kilometers (3.1 miles) in whatever way feels most comfortable for you! If you want to participate but do not wish to complete the 5k, you can register under the Fundraiser Registration type. This registration allows you to raise funds for CASA through your own personal page without having to commit to the 5k.
When do I have to run? Is there a specific timeframe in which the 5k must be completed?
All participants have until the moment they register until the close of the event (12/31/2020) to complete their 5k.
Do I have until the closing date of the fundraiser to register?
Registration will be closed approximately two weeks before the fundraiser closes on December 18, 2020.
Is this a timed Race?
This 5k will not be timed. If you wish to share your time you are more than welcome to do so on your fundraising page or on social media. Be sure to tag any posts with our official event hashtag! #run4CASA2020
Do I have to turn in my time?
As previously stated, this race is not timed and therefore does not require participants to turn in their time. However, we strongly encourage active engagement on the campaign site so please upload photos or messages on your timeline if you wish!
Do I get a medal?
All participants who register under the Virtual 5k Registration or the Virtual 5k Registration + Special T-Shirt registration types will receive a race medal. If you register under the Fundraiser Registration type, this means that you are only fundraising and not participating in the 5k run and therefore will not receive an official race medal.
Do I get a T-shirt?
To receive a Kreative Virtual 5k for CASA Children Intervention Services official t-shirt you must register under the Virtual 5k Registration + Special T-Shirt registration type. Unlike the other two registration types, this one includes a $25 fee to cover the cost of your t-shirt which will be sent out to participants after the fundraiser closes on December 31, 2020. A picture of the t-shirt design will be visible when you click this registration type for your reference.
