How Your Support Makes a Difference
By participating, you are helping make everyday life possible for individuals with profound disabilities
State regulations require that facilities provide a bath once per week per resident and linens be washed once per week. At Marklund, each resident is bathed daily, and linens are washed daily. Additionally, Marklund maintains higher staff ratios with more qualified staff, provides on-staff therapists (vs. consultants), and provides more nursing minutes than required. This standard of care increases the cost of services and creates a gap of approximately $8,500 per individual served annually.
100% of net proceeds from the event will be applied toward this gap in funding, which goes toward Marklund’s much-needed direct care programs and services.
