More than 10,000 children living in Canada are battling cancer right now. These children and their families need our support. 

Established in October 1987, Childhood Cancer Canada is the leading national foundation dedicated to funding pediatric oncology research, while delivering support and programing for families affected by childhood In Canada, six children are diagnosed with cancer each day. 

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. Our efforts toward more positive outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults fighting cancer in Canada are carried out by our family programs including Survivor Scholarships, EmPower Packs, Emergency and Benevolent Funds

How to join Snipping for Hope

Snipping for Hope is a fundraising challenge that raises funds and awareness for kids with cancer. If you’d like to participate, simply:

  • Join the challenge and set up your own fundraising page.
  • Set a date to cut or shave your hair.
  • Promote your fundraiser to your friends and family and encourage them to support your efforts.  
  • Once the your date arrives, it's time to snip that hair.  This can be completed by yourself, by a willing family member or at the salon/barber shop you frequent. This is your chance to be creative with it your style. 
  • Remember to take photos, video, or perhaps go LIVE, and share your challenge on your social channels.
  • You can tag and nominate your friends and family to donate or snip their hair – or both!
  • Share your photos and videos on social media and through your fundraising page while using the hashtags #SnippingForHope #SnipOrDonate. And don’t forget to tag us so that we can share your awesome cuts!
