About SCWB
Sickle Cell Warriors or Buffalo, SCTPN Chapter (SCSB) began in 2017 as a peer group of young adults living with sickle cell disease. The group has evolved and grown to become SCWB. SCWB celebrates 4-years of walking to raise awareness and funds for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).
This is the first year that the walk will be held in person and virtually on Zoom, and the theme for this celebration is #SCWBWalk2022 #EveryStepYouTake #ShinestheLightonSickleCellDisease. When you register your team or register as an individual walker, you will receive a link to register on Zoom for the kickoff on August 21, and the walk on September 03 simulcast on Zoom and FB Live If you plan to participate virtual.
Your team will have 3-weeks to complete 30,000 steps (24kilometer or 15 miles). This is not mandatory.
The walk takes place on September 103, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The walk will be hosted on Zoom and Streamed on Facebook Live @SCWBWalk.
