About Start By Believing 2022 Campaign

Join Sojourner Center in highlighting the need to #StartByBelieving sexual violence survivors in April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month!

Most victims of sexual violence do not report the crime to law enforcement. Many never tell anyone. With so few incidents are reported – most perpetrators walk free. It’s time to end this cycle. It all starts with you. When someone tells you they were sexually assaulted, make a pledge to #StartbyBelieving.

- Show your support for #StartByBelieving and #SojournerCenter by sharing your personal fundraising page with your friends and families.

- Personalize your fundraising page by posting a photo of yourself holding up a #StartByBelieving sign, sharing a video about why this issue is important to you, wearing teal or anything else you'd like to do to spread awareness.

- Ask your friends and family to join you by donating to your page or even starting their page and joining your team.

- Join us! You'll not only be raising awareness and funds, you'll also have the chance to win some great prizes!

Everyone who registers with a $25 gift or more will receive a Sojourner Center #StartByBelieving t-shirt. Individuals who raise a minimum of $100 will be entered into a prize drawing for a chance to win some great prizes including a flat-screen TV and additional drawing entries will be received for each additional $500 raised after meeting the individual fundraising goal of raising $1000. Prizes will also be awarded for top individual fundraiser, top individual with the most points and top fundraising team.
