About Stomp Out Suicide 2026

Join us as we show up for one another and take action to prevent suicide.

5K run/walk • Memory events • Family activities • Live music

Stomp Out Suicide is a family-friendly 5K run/walk and community gathering designed to help people remember, feel hope, and connect with others and with resources that can help.

What to expect on Saturday, August 8:

  • Registration begins at 9 a.m. Check in, pick up your t-shirt, and get settled in. Walk-ins are welcome.
  • From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the park is active with family-friendly activities, music, and opportunities to connect with community resources.
  • At 9:50 a.m., join other participants for a welcome/keynote and then the 5K begins. Throughout the morning, you’ll find meaningful ways to honor loved ones and spend time with people who “get it.”

Stomp Out Suicide was created in memory of Alissa Haines of Wyoming, Minnesota, and continues as a space where our community can show up for one another and take action to prevent suicide.

Fundraising Matters!

Stomp Out Suicide is more than an event, it’s a chance to take action and save lives. When you create a team/crowdfunding page you’re giving your friends, family, and coworkers an easy way to show up with you. Every gift helps support people struggling with crisis situations, mental illness, and substance use disorders.

This year, our goal is to raise $50,000 to help people get connected to the care and support they need. Every page created and every story told makes a big difference, because it turns your personal “why” into tangible momentum and resources.

Create your crowdfunding page today and invite your community to walk alongside you—step by step, donation by donation.

Why you should participate

Because showing up matters. Stomp Out Suicide is more than a walk/run: it’s an opportunity to:

  • Honor and remember the people we’ve lost, and hold their stories close.
  • Feel hope and connection by spending time with others who understand.
  • Turn awareness into action by supporting life-saving services and reminding our community that help is available.

Whether you come to remember a loved one, to support someone you care about, to find resources, or simply to stand in solidarity. This is a space for healing, resilience, and community.
