Spike Out Cancer 2023

Welcome to Spike Out Cancer YYC 2023, in support of Urgent Needs.

Hello everyone,

As a lot of you may already know, a beloved member of our volleyball community was diagnosed with cancer recently. Tegan was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. She's a beloved member of the volleyball community. Everyone knows her for her love of the sport, her intensity on the court, but most importantly, how she's the nicest and kindest person off the court. She's had surgery to remove the lump but still awaiting further results and steps. I know there are many others that are affected by cancer; just recently I learned that another member of the volleyball community, Kingsley, was diagnosed just last year with stage 4 cancer, and is currently still battling it. We've partnered up with Rally Pointe to host this charity volleyball tournament, where the proceeds will go towards the Alberta Cancer Foundation who is committed to helping all Albertans affected by cancer. Tournament details:

Format: Coed 6's (minimum 2 girls on the court at all times)
Location: Rally Pointe
Team fee: $300/team ($200 from each registration goes to charity, the remainder will go towards admin fees/prizes).
Registration deadline: May 12th, 2023
There will be a competitive division, and an intermediate division. (10 teams per division)
Post tourny event to be hosted at Hudson's!
