What you need to know
about
STARS Walk-of-Fame and Color Throw
- Bring a beach (large) towel or trash bag to place in your car for the ride home.
- Wear your Color Throw t-shirt.
- We will be handing out sunglasses at the walk to protect your eyes.
- Shake loose powder from hair and rinse with cool water. Wash hair normally.
- To clean clothing, shake off excess powder. Wash your clothes separately with cold water. (Color may not come completely out of your white t-shirt.)
- To preserve the color on your t-shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron before washing.
Bring a filled water bottle (water will not be available)
Face Masks must be worn at all times.
Timeline
8:30 a.m.
Winning Class ONLY: Activity Champions Tailgate Party in the quad.
9:00 a.m.
Report to your advisory for announcements and instructions.
9:10 a.m.
Seniors meet in the Commons and underclassmen gather on the center field of the track. Nonparticipants go to study hall in the auditorium.
9:20–10:45 a.m.
Seniors will be released from the Commons to the track. An announcement will be made to the underclassmen to line the track and cheer on their seniors. Seniors begin the one-mile walk. Juniors, sophomores, and freshmen follow. There will be games and a DJ playing music.
11:00 a.m.
Ten minutes into the freshman walk, seniors meet on the southwest corner of campus. Underclassmen then walk to the field and gather within a large circle created by the seniors. The color throw commences!
11:20 a.m.
School day concludes following color throw.
Students will not be allowed back into the buildings after the color throw.
