Student Hunger Drive 2026 Supporting our neighbors in need across 24 counties in North and South Carolina

Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM) is hosting one of our primary fundraisers of the year, Carolinas Student Hunger Drive. This community-wide event has students from local high schools participating in a drive that will engage them in meeting a crucial community need while introducing them to service and philanthropy.
During the Hunger Drive, students plan and execute their own food and funds drives. They set goals for their school while “competing” with other schools for honor of being named top fundraiser at the end of the competition. During the drive, students receive education on hunger, learn about volunteerism, and work with the Food Bank and their school mentor / teacher to organize their drive.
SHFBM provide food for over 950 partner agencies and programs. Did you know that over 483,000 people, live in poverty in our service area including over 151,000 children and 57,000 seniors. Approximately 68% of the Food Bank’s food is donated, so this drive is a great opportunity to place more food on tables for those in need.
We are deeply appreciative of your support. Together, we can END HUNGER!
