About Lebanon 2024 Stop Traffic Walk

The Stop Traffic Walk is a community event designed to help spread awareness of human trafficking in our local areas. We believe it is important for our community to be educated and alert about trafficking to not only fight for change, but also to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. It is easy to blind ourselves to the fact that this happens in small areas around us, but it is extremely important to realize that human trafficking rates continue to climb the more it is hidden. By taking a stand and speaking out toward this horrific issue, we believe change is just around the corner.

The Stop Traffic Walk event will open at 10am with bounce houses, activities for the whole family, food, entertainment, and more.

Just before the walk, there will be brief remarks from our Co-chairs: Amy Brewer and Holly Shutts followed by an encouraging call to action by this year's master of ceremonies, Chief Deputy Barry Riley of the Warren County Sheriff's Office.

This is your time to take a stand for the injustice that is taking place today and also show your support for those who have survived. We hope you will join us to unify our town and walk for this cause!

Join us for these additional events leading up to the walk:

Why Participate?

HUMAN TRAFFICKING is modern-day slavery and it’s believed to be the third-largest criminal activity in the world. There are an estimated 40 million victims of human trafficking, globally. Your participation helps create a unified voice. In order for us to see the change we all know is needed, we must gather together and be willing to speak out against trafficking.

Supporting The Cause; Donation and Funds

The Stop Traffic Walk raises funds for one of the nation’s largest human trafficking rescue and rehabilitation operation in North America. The funds you raise through the Stop Traffic Walk will also help local efforts to raise awareness through the Where Hope Lives operation. Our goal is to rescue trafficked individuals and give them the skills necessary to build a strong, vibrant life.
