Welcome to Step Up for Down Syndrome 2025 awareness walk and festival!
Fun awaits as we celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and the DSAGSL's 50th Anniversary, birthday style! Help us celebrate the past 50 years with the largest birthday party you've ever seen! 


Your support and fundraising efforts provide year-round programming and services for individuals with Down syndrome and their families in our community.

Why We Step Up!

The Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis serves more than 2200 individuals with Down syndrome and their families, through every stage of life. We envision a community where all people with Down syndrome can achieve their full potential.

The support we receive through Step Up for Down Syndrome makes these programs and services possible and raises about a third of the DSAGSL's annual budget.  



What is the Step Up Celebration Like?

Joi us for our 50th Birthday Party!!

Step Up for Down Syndrome is the largest celebration of Down syndrome in the area with over 5,000 people in attendance, around 100 volunteers, several vendors and sponsors, and​ a whole lot of fun!!  

The event starts in the morning with  Run for 21 5k (plus a little extra) through beautiful Forest Park.  Runners can register at dsagsl.org/run-for-21.

The Celebration starts at 9am and includes an awareness walk, inflatable bounce castles, games, crafts, food, live entertainment, and so much more!
